Two Good Friends is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities, older adults, and those using assistive technologies.

Accessibility is part of our wider commitment to dignity and inclusion in everything we do.

Our commitment

We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is the international standard for accessible web content, and the standard expected of public-facing organisations in the UK.

We also follow:

•       The Equality Act 2010 — our duty to make reasonable adjustments

•       The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 — where applicable to our regulated status

What we’ve done to make this site accessible

•       Clear, plain-English content where possible

•       Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds

•       Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content

•       Descriptive alt text on images

•       Keyboard navigation throughout the site

•       Logical heading structure for screen readers

•       Forms designed with clear labels and error messages

•       Avoidance of reliance on colour alone to convey meaning

•       Mobile-responsive design for use on phones and tablets

Known limitations

We are working to improve, but we recognise some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, including:

•       Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible

•       Some embedded third-party content (e.g. maps) may have limited accessibility

•       Decorative imagery without descriptive alt text in some areas

We are reviewing these and aim to address them progressively.

If you need information from this Site in an alternative format — including large print, easy-read, audio, or hard copy — please contact us. We will provide it without charge and within a reasonable timeframe.
